Bonanza Productions, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television are set to begin production on a new and exciting television series on July 16, 2012 in Wilmington, NC. The show is called “Revolution”, and is about a group of survivors who have banded together in a land where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Casting for principal actors is ongoing in Los Angeles and North Carolina. The extras casting director is now taking email submissions from people interested in working on the show.
Two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner J.J. Abrams will executive produce “Revolution” under the banner of his and Bryan Burk’s production company Bad Robot. Abrams and Burk have executive produced such hit shows as “Lost,” “Person of Interest,” and “Fringe” among many others. Also executive producing is Eric Kripke, creator of WB Television Network’s “Supernatural”. Primetime Emmy nominated filmmaker Jon Favreau directed the pilot episode, and will also produce the series with Anne Cofell Saunders, and Bad Robot’s Kathy Lingg.
The current cast that shot the pilot episode may very well change quite a bit. “Revolution” suffers character causalities early in the pilot episode, and the show does not seem to be hesitant of killing off most of the primary players without much hesitation. One character that sounds long term is Charlie Matheson, played by the talented and beautiful actress Tracy Spiridakos. She is a teen girl who sets off to find her brother, who has been kidnapped by a villainous rogue militia. She has to find her uncle (Billy Burke) for help, who, incidentally, may have the key as to why “all the lights went out”.

Story:
Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet culde-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman’s (Tracy Spiridakos) life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously – and unbeknownst to her – had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.
