HBO and BBC are now in production on a television adaptation of the quartet of novels by Ford Madox Ford, considered by many to be one of the literary masterworks of the 20th Century. The five-part miniseries is currently casting guest stars, day players, extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles for the film’s stars. Shooting is taking place in and around London, UK. Locations in the capital which the production is using to portray period London include the Royal Horse Guards Parade, Hyde Park, Victoria House in Bloomsbury Square, Trafalgar Square and Lincoln’s Inn.
“Parade’s End” is a single volume novel that was originally published as four seperate books titled “Some Do Not…”, “No More Parades,” “A Man Could Stand Up –”, and “The Last Post”. The story is set during the First World War and revolves around a love triangle. At its center is English aristocrat Christopher Tietjens, his beautiful, socialite wife Sylvia and Valentine Wannop, a young suffragette.
The film has a very impressive cast with three-time BAFTA Film Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role of Christopher Tietjens, Golden Globe Award Nominee Rebecca Hall co-starring as Sylvia Tietjens. the gorgeous rising star Adelaide Clemens co-stars as Valentine Wannop. The supporting cast includes Roger Allam (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”), BAFTA Film Award nominee Anne-Marie Duff (“Nowhere Boy”), two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Rupert Everett (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”), and two-time Academy Award nominee Miranda Richardson (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”).
Parade’s End is directed by multi Primetime Emmy-nominated and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Susanna White (“Jane Eyre,” “Nanny McPhee” and “Bleak House”). White is directing from an adapted screenplay by Academy Award winner Sir Tom Stoppard, who wrote the screenplays for “Shakespeare in Love” and “Empire of the Sun”. “Parade’s End” is a Mammoth Screen production for the BBC in association with HBO Miniseries, Trademark Films, and Lookout Point. It is co-produced with BNP Paribas Fortis Film Fund and Anchorage Entertainment.

Story:
The story chronicle the life of Christopher Tietjens (Benedict Cumberbatch), “the last Tory,” a brilliant government statistician from a wealthy land-owning family who is serving in the British Army during World War I. Tietjens may or may not be the father of the child of his wife, Sylvia (Rebecca Hall), a flippant socialite who seems intent on ruining him. Meanwhile, Tietjens’ incipient affair with Valentine Wannop (Adelaide Clemens), a high-spirited suffragette, has not been consummated, despite what all their friends believe.
