The Steven King series “Castle Rock” is seeking all ages and types to work as fully paid extras, and an open casting call has now been scheduled.
All ages and types are welcome to attend the open casting call on July 18, 2017. Email submissions are also being accepted. The series is based on the stories of Stephen King, and will intertwine characters and themes from the fictional town of Castlerock. Executive producers are two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner J.J. Abrams, Writers Guild of America WGA Award nominee Sam Shaw, and Dustin Thomason. Shaw and Thomason will serve as showrunners. The cast includes Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee André Holland as Henry Deaver, BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Award winner Melanie Lynskey as Molly Strand, two-time Fright Meter Awards nominee Jane Levy as Jackie, and Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek as Ruth Deaver. “Castle Rock” will air on Hulu in 2018.
Castle Rock Open Casting Call Details
The Hulu series “Castle Rock” is holding the following open casting call for extras. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend, both union and non-union. Parents/Legal Guardians of minors can simply fill out the extras submission form below. Shooting will take place in Massachusetts from July 31, 2017 through December, 2017. All talent, including minors and foreign actors/extras MUST have legal eligibility to work in the entertainment industry in Boston, MA and in the United States. Story:
A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Bodyand numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock. Castle Rockis an original suspense/thriller – a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories. André Holland will play Henry, a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock, Maine.
