The new X-Men based Marvel action-adventure series pilot ‘Gifted’ is now casting actors and extras, as well as stand-ins and photo-doubles. The series is now shooting in the Dallas, TX area. The series takes place in a world where mutated humans are treated with distrust and fear, and an institute for these mutants battles to achieve peaceful co-existence with humanity. This show has also been using the working title of “Heaven.” Shooting will take place through April, 2017.
“Gifted” is being directed by four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Bryan Singer, from a teleplay written by Edgar Award winner Matt Nix. Singer and Nix are also executive producing, with Nix serving as showrunner. Also executive producing are two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jim Chory, Academy Award nominee Simon Kinberg, Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jeph Loeb, and Black Reel Awards nominee Lauren Shuler Donner.
